Ready to sell? Moving can be both an exciting and a daunting
experience. Meet with a real estate agent before you plan to sell to
get an idea of what your home is worth. Many online sites offer home
values but only a local agent who knows the community will be able to
give you a real comparative value of your home's worth.

Consider your time line for your move. How long do you have to sell?
If for example you have a job transfer pending or need to sell your
home quickly, consider pricing your home at or slightly below market
value to get offers coming in. The more realistic your price, the
faster your home will sell.

If your schedule allows it, talk to your agent about setting your
price at or above market value for a limited time and be prepared to
lower the price within a set time if slow activity indicates your
